Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a Reality Capture Senior Associate to lead laser scanning, data processing, and BIM-integrated deliverables for complex construction projects. You will collaborate with field teams, VDC, and project managers to convert site conditions into accurate digital models.

The role requires 3–6 years of relevant experience, travel up to 75%, and a focus on precision, safety, and coordination across the project lifecycle. Based at our Falls Church, VA HQ with nationwide travel.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in construction, land surveying, geospatial tech, or reality capture operations.
• Extended knowledge of laser scanning, LiDAR, and photogrammetry principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data management practices.
• Ability to work safely in active construction environments with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Field Data Acquisition: Execute terrestrial laser scanning and SLAM deployments at active sites.
• Develop site documentation protocols to capture existing conditions, progress, and QA data.
• Collaborate on scan planning strategies with project teams.
• Process raw scan data into registration-accurate point clouds and polygonal meshes using supported software.
• Generate technical reports, visualizations, and BIM-integrated deliverables for stakeholders.
• Coordinate with VDC teams to integrate reality capture data into clash detection workflows.
