Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience including networking and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in a backend language such as Go or Java.
• Familiarity with networking protocols such as HTTP, TCP/IP, and UDP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend infrastructure for real-time streaming use cases at Uber.
• Advance the streaming infrastructure’s global scale while balancing performance and reliability.
• Develop automated evaluation framework for streaming protocols and platforms against application requirements and operational needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate their systems.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, performance regressions, service incidents across clients and backend services.
• Elevate engineering quality by contributing to design and code reviews and participating in the on-call rotation.
