Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking a Sr Software Engineer for the Streaming Data Platform team in Sunnyvale, CA. You will shape architecture for real-time data movement and processing across Uber's global marketplace, tackling distributed systems challenges at scale.

You will lead architectural evolution, drive performance and reliability improvements, and mentor engineers, collaborating with infrastructure, data engineering, and product teams to deliver scalable, efficient platform capabilities.

Competenze

6+ years of professional software engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems.
Deep understanding of distributed systems — consistency, replication, consensus, fault tolerance, concurrency, disaster recovery.
Proven experience architecting high-performance, highly available systems at scale.
Proficient in one or more backend languages (Java, Go, C++, Scala, Python, or Rust).
Experience with data infrastructure, streaming platforms, or related technologies.
