Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Principal Streaming Data Architect to lead the real-time data streaming and processing for our nationwide sensor detection platform. You will partner with engineering, product, compliance, and infrastructure teams to deliver a stateful, low-latency engine capable of thousands of messages per second from distributed sensors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR 10+ years experience.
• Must be a US Citizen due to the nature of some contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead real-time streaming and processing architecture for a nationwide sensor platform.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Infrastructure teams.
• Design stateful, low-latency pipelines handling thousands of messages per second.
• Develop a robust schema registry and event-driven data modelling strategy.
• Ensure data governance with lineage, metadata management, and auditability.
• Partner with DevSecOps to meet CJIS, FIPS 140-3, and FedRAMP High standards.
• Mentor junior and mid-level architects through architecture reviews.
