Job summary

Motorola Solutions is hiring a Principal Streaming Data Architect to lead the real-time data streaming and processing architecture for a nationwide sensor detection platform. You will work with engineering, product, compliance, and infrastructure teams to develop a stateful, low-latency stream processing engine capable of handling thousands of messages per second from distributed sensors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree OR 10+ years experience.
Must be a US Citizen due to contract requirements.

Responsibilities

Assess existing data ingestion and processing solutions (Azure Event Hubs, Azure Databricks) and advise on optimal stream frameworks.
Design and develop stateful, low-latency stream processing applications for thousands of sensors.
Create robust schema registry and event-driven data models for data quality and consistency.
Build data governance with lineage, metadata management and auditability for data flows.
Collaborate with Data Science to operationalize real-time ML models in streams.
Ensure fault tolerance, zero data loss and end-to-end latency from sensors to UI.
