Job summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) seeks a Consulting Data Architect to design M&O data platforms with batch, real-time, and event-driven architectures. You will model conceptual, logical, and physical schemas and integrate tools like LogicMonitor and ServiceNow into platforms.

You will mentor peers, lead data architecture efforts, and work with Kafka, Spark, and Flink to deliver scalable solutions across Fortune 50 to startups.

Qualifications

• Architecting, prototyping, and building data platforms using Apache Kafka, Neo4j, Splunk, Azure Event Hub, or similar technologies.
• Designing streaming applications for data platforms using Kafka Streams, Spark, and Apache Flink.
• Understanding and configuring underlying data platforms for performance, reliability, security according to client needs.
• Architecting and creating data schemas according to best practices for data in motion.
• Working with Data Science, Data Warehousing/BI, Operations, App Dev and integrating tools with data streaming platforms.
• Presenting to varied audiences the value of data streaming platforms and keeping documentation up to date.

Responsibilities

• Presents and communicates project results and issues clearly to internal WWT teams.
• Works with WWT BD team to support an SSA for a large BD services effort.
• Designs event driven architectures in partnership with the client or WWT’s application development teams.
• Engages customers during pre-sales, understanding their requirements, and delivering solutions.
• Acts as a trusted strategic advisor for IT monitor & observability.
• Provides guidance on when and how to utilize different data processing frameworks and tools.
• Works with businesses of all sizes, from Fortune 50 companies to startups.
• Builds tools, processes, and documentation to standardize the way we work.
• Provides thought leadership around IT Operations and data streaming technologies through blogs and speaking opportunities.
