Job summary

CFD Research in Huntsville, AL, seeks an experienced engineer to join a multidisciplinary R&D team that develops software for end-to-end scene generation for intelligence and defense applications.

You will design, implement, and validate physics-based workflows, bridging sensor modeling, rendering, and ML pipelines, across edge devices to multi-GPU clusters, with onsite work in Huntsville.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and SECRET clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, CS, or related STEM.
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in physics-based EO/IR and/or RF scene generation.
• Strong knowledge of radiometry, optics, EM theory for scene generation.
• Proficient in C/C++ or Python and GPU acceleration (OpenGL/Vulkan/CUDA).
• Experience with Git and collaborative code development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate physics-based 3D radiometric scene generation workflows.
• Bridge physical sensor modeling, graphics rendering, and ML pipelines.
• Develop software products for training and evaluating sensing algorithms.
• Contribute across requirements analysis, architecture, testing, deployment, and optimization.
