Job summary

SimTech, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to develop and maintain real-time lab control applications. You will design software in C++, CUDA, and Python, ensuring scalability and maintainability, with documentation and UML/Doxygen artifacts.

You will collaborate with internal and external teams, support CI/CD workflows, and apply advanced mathematical techniques to model and simulate complex systems in a defense-oriented lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, modeling & simulation, or application development.
• Proficient with C++ and Python with demonstrated ability to code complex systems, and familiarity with CUDA.
• Proficient with development in the Linux ecosystem (RedHat and/or Debian).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real-time lab control applications.
• Design and implement software in C++, CUDA, and Python with documentation (Doxygen/UML).
• Support CI/CD processes and tools for modern deployments.
• Evaluate objectives and select appropriate engineering approaches.
