Job summary

CFD Research is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a well-established team that supports the development and sustainment of a simulation framework software. The candidate will work on HWIL systems for missile defense elements, with real-time testing and advanced software practices.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, 5–20 years of experience, and U.S. citizenship with an Active Secret clearance. Onsite in Huntsville, AL with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or Math from an accredited institution.
• 5-20 years of experience will be considered.
• Strong containerization skills with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, C#, and Python, including object oriented.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Scrum/agile software development.
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an Active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the lifecycle of software development efforts, including development, integration, and deployment for test and analysis efforts with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software & hardware, and all-digital representations of complex missile defense elements.
• Enhance understanding of the missile defense system and how each element is integrated into the framework for test campaigns.
