Job summary

Barclays in New York, NY is seeking an AVP - Payments Product Manager to maximize the value of Barclay's real-time payments portfolio by defining a clear product vision, prioritizing the roadmap, and delivering innovative payment solutions for Corporate Banking clients.

You will own end-to-end lifecycle management of instant payment capabilities, including RTP and FedNow, and collaborate with product, technology, operations, risk, legal, compliance, and treasury teams to support modernization

Qualifications

Deep understanding of RTP, FedNow, ACH, Wire, and broader domestic payment ecosystems.
Considerable knowledge of real-time payment operating models, payment processing, liquidity management, and treasury workflows.
Knowledge of payment messaging standards, APIs, ISO 20022 XML, and modern payment architectures.
Understanding of fraud prevention, sanctions screening, and financial crime controls within instant payment environments.
Financial services experience with knowledge of Corporate Banking and Transaction Banking products.
Understanding of Agile methodologies, design thinking, and product management frameworks.
Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

Provide SME expertise on product features, benefits, risks, and compliance.
Identify market trends, features, regulatory requirements, and risks to inform development.
Respond to customer inquiries and guide product usage.
Present product advantages to customers and support adoption.
Assist with development and execution of marketing materials for the product.
