Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, High Performance Computing for the Starlink program in Palo Alto, CA. You will own the full software lifecycle—from development to testing and support—aiming to optimize beam formation for a low-latency, global satellite internet network.

You will design real-time software, participate in architecture reviews, and develop deployment tools and experiments to validate core concepts across virtualized and hardware environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional software development experience; OR 7+ years of software development in lieu of a degree.
• Development experience in assembly, C, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable, real-time software for beam formation in a low-latency, high-bandwidth satellite network.
• Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Develop prototypes and manage experiments to validate key concepts.
• Develop tools for software development, deployment, data analysis, visualization, and test execution across multiple environments.
