Job summary

Boeing is seeking an Experienced Software Engineer to support the Training Systems team in Hazelwood, MO. This contract role involves real-time 3D rendering and high-fidelity training software development for military pilot training, with Agile teams delivering features in two-week sprints.

Responsibilities cover design, implementation, testing, and integration of simulation software across the lifecycle, in collaboration with stakeholders and hardware teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in C/C++, C#, Rust or similar languages.
• 5+ years experience on Windows and/or Linux.
• 5+ years experience with GitLab or IDE tools.
• 5+ years experience in software development in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and develop simulation models and visualization frameworks across the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to review simulation requirements and system dynamics.
• Perform design, modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis to optimize performance.
• Collect and process data for simulations.
• Validate, verify, and refine simulation code and test environments.
• Document algorithms, specifications, and descriptions of simulation models.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation software with hardware.
• Implement current technologies, tools, frameworks in the simulation environment.
• Modernize and migrate simulation software to adapt legacy systems.
• Perform simulation software project management functions.
