Job summary

Intuitive, a global leader in robotic-assisted surgery, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Embedded Networking Software team. You’ll advance the dV5 embedded network across OSI layers, driving end-to-end feature development from concept to verification.

You will collaborate with Application Development, FPGA, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Clinical teams to deliver safe, real-time networking for surgical systems, with emphasis on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of industry experience or Master’s with 4+ years in Electrical/CS/CE or related field.
• Strong OSI networking stack knowledge and TCP/IP familiarity.
• Proficient in C/C++ for embedded systems development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver features across the embedded network stack.
• Improve reliability and performance including low latency and QoS.
• Lead board bring-up activities and interface with hardware teams.
• Debug complex hardware-software networking issues using debugging tools.
