Intuitive Surgical, a global leader in robotic-assisted surgery, is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Vision to contribute to the Linux‑based, embedded software that drives real‑time video processing for the da Vinci System. You will work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team across architectural definition, implementation and testing.

This onsite role in Sunnyvale emphasizes bringing up cameras, optimizing video pipelines, and delivering high‑quality software for life‑changing

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's in a STEM field with 8+ years' embedded C/C++ experience.
Experience developing C/C++ software for embedded Linux.
Familiarity with programming and configuring hardware devices.
Demonstrated experience across all stages of the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, document, and verify embedded software.
Bring‑up and integrate new cameras and image sensors.
Evaluate camera pipeline video processing algorithms.
Develop color and power control for intra‑operative illumination.
Collaborate in a cross‑functional team across architecture, implementation and testing.
Contribute to other areas such as frameworks, offline simulation, and tooling.
Aid in risk analyses and software mitigations.
