Job summary

STR is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to build and sustain CI/CD for real-time embedded software across multi-language projects. You will implement automated build/test pipelines, containerize development and deployment environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and drive secure, scalable delivery for distributed systems.

You will work with Linux-centric teams, configure GitLab runners, and automate deployments to embedded platforms while maintaining system health and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multi-language, multi-platform projects.
• Establish and maintain containerized development and deployment environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Implement automated build systems for C/C++ and Python codebases (CMake, Conan, Make).
• Create and maintain automated testing frameworks (unit/integration/system tests).
• Implement security scanning and vulnerability tools in CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage version control workflows and branching strategies (Git).
• Configure GitLab runners, build agents, and testing infra across sites.
• Develop scripts to automate deployment to embedded and distributed systems.
• Monitor build health, test coverage, code quality, and system performance.
• Support developers across teams with build/dependency/environment issues.
• Document DevOps processes, tools, and best practices.
• Collaborate with software, systems, security, IT, and integration teams.
