1X seeks a senior C++ systems engineer to own real-time infrastructure powering NEO’s brain and nervous system. You will optimize latency, ensure determinism, and scale from prototypes to thousands of robots deployed in homes and warehouses.

You’ll implement fast sensor pipelines, robust motor control interfaces, and a reliable IPC framework, collaborating with perception, planning, and controls teams.

Formación

• 5+ years shipping production C++ in performance-critical systems such as robotics or similar.
• Ability to profile, benchmark, and debug at the systems level (flamegraphs, perf counters).
• Proven track record of building clean, contract-first interfaces for other engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Own foundational C++ infrastructure for the robot brain and nervous system with fast, deterministic behavior.
• Maintain latency-sensitive sensor pipelines, motor control loops, and IPC layers.
• Design and ship lock-free IPC/serialization layers and foundational libraries for thousands of robots.
