Alt is building real-time pricing and liquidity tools for the high-speed world of trading-card collectibles. You will own the auction engine, AI-powered liquidity features, and personalized discovery, shaping how collectors buy, bid, and watch listings in real time.

You’ll deliver high-concurrency systems, mentor the team on coding standards, and push the boundaries of performance. This remote-first role offers substantial ownership and impact within a growing platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and scaling complex applications.
• Proficient in Python, PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Strong frontend mastery with React and TypeScript.
• Proven reliability under high-traffic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Own the auction engine: build and scale high-concurrency bidding/listing systems powering nine-figure GMV.
• Develop AI-powered liquidity features enabling instant valuations and upfront offers.
• Drive personalized discovery using data/ML to match collectibles to buyers.
• Design and launch power-seller tooling for high-frequency sellers.
• Own the end-to-end experience from backend bid resolution to the UI.
• Set the bar for code quality, reliability, and performance.
