Job summary

Alt is transforming the $5 B trading-card market by automating underwriting, disbursement and loan servicing for real‑time lending on the Alt platform. You’ll own the end‑to‑end loan workflow—from underwriting design to borrower experiences—building an idempotent, auditable, production system with data science in the loop.

This is a full‑stack role requiring backend and frontend expertise, with a remote‑first, US‑based team culture and a compensation range of $200k–$220k plus equity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and scaling production applications across the stack (backend and frontend).
• Experience owning lending, credit, or payments workflow in production (origination, servicing, or disbursement).
• Moved real money on real rails (ACH, RTP, wires) and understands fund flows.
• Workflow and state-machine design with explicit retries and audit trails.
• Operational debugging: reduced exception queues by fixing root causes, not just alerts.

Responsibilities

• Implement the underwriting revamp end to end with data scientists.
• Automate the loan workflow from application to funded, with auditable rules.
• Fix disbursement triage at its root and eliminate failure modes.
• Deliver borrower-facing flows across web and mobile with faithful design fidelity.
• Provide internal tooling: operator consoles for credit, operations and support.
• Own loan servicing and money movement, ensuring ledger reconciliation.
