Job summary

REI is seeking a Senior Real Estate Manager to execute our retail real estate strategy across an assigned territory. You will lead site selection, acquisitions, relocations, expansions, leases, and closures, including offices, design centers, and distribution centers.

You will analyze markets, manage broker networks, and partner with Legal, Finance, Design, Construction, and Operations to deliver openings and ongoing performance. Must reside in ET or CT zones and be willing to travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in a retail real estate environment, preferably supporting malls or large-format stores.
Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, or a related field.
Strong market planning and implementation experience for new locations and portfolio optimization.
Extensive knowledge of real estate development, broker management, contracting, and financial analysis.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Smartsheet, and GIS.

Responsibilities

Lead the real estate pipeline for new locations, relocations, expansions, lease renewals, downsizing, and closures.
Guide site selection, evaluation, negotiations, approvals, and committee presentations.
Negotiate real estate transactions and develop mutually beneficial solutions.
Be the market expert for the assigned territory; assess demographic trends and store performance.
Coordinate cross-functional projects with Market Research, Finance, Legal, Design, Construction, and Operations.
Manage broker networks and external partnerships, aligning on strategy and service expectations.
