Qualifications

Active Virginia State Bar membership or eligibility.
6–9 years of experience in real estate or land use litigation.
Experience with zoning appeals, eminent domain, tax appeals, and related disputes.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in real estate, land use, zoning, condemnation, and property rights disputes in state and federal courts.
Handle tax assessment appeals and other administrative challenges involving real property.
Advise clients on land use and entitlement matters (CUPs, rezonings, special exceptions).
Draft, review, and negotiate pleadings, motions, briefs, and related documents.
Collaborate with planners, engineers, and other professionals on development matters.
Manage matters from inception through resolution, including hearings and trials.
