Job summary

Benchmark Title is seeking an experienced Escrow Closer to join their team. The role focuses on overseeing the escrow process for real estate transactions, preparing and delivering escrow documents, and resolving title issues to ensure smooth closings.

The position requires analyzing escrow requirements, reviewing and approving documents, managing closings, and coordinating with lenders, buyers, sellers, and agents to meet deadlines and provide excellent service.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Missouri Department of Insurance license or ability to meet the requirements for Missouri Department of Insurance licensing is required.
• Notary Public is required or ability to meet the requirements.
• Must have basic computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must meet ongoing Continuing Education requirements.
• Closer must have excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares Closing Disclosure & Settlement statements with accurate prorations/adjustments including taxes, HOA fees, payoff of liens.
• Closers must comply with terms of real estate contracts and amendments.
• Determines escrow requirements by reviewing buyer, seller, and lender instructions; orders title reports and resolves title defects.
• Completes closing documents, reviews papers with parties, explains provisions and procedures, checks for completeness and accuracy.
• Balances and disburses funds; ensures funding requirements are met and regulatory requirements are adhered to.
• Other duties as assigned.
