Kitchell Development Company seeks a Director of Development to lead sourcing, evaluation, and execution of commercial real estate investments in Phoenix. You’ll drive acquisitions, leasing strategies, and joint-venture partnerships across industrial, retail, storage, and multi-family assets.

The role demands strong financial modeling, entitlements, and project management across the full investment lifecycle, from market research to stabilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in commercial real estate project development with a commercial real estate development company.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to manage development budgets and cash flow forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead acquisitions, leasing and brokerage efforts for new development and investment opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships with brokers, owners, joint-venture partners, tenants, and market participants to support opportunities.
• Manage entitlement process with municipalities and external consultants; oversee due diligence and risk mitigation.
• Direct development design, preconstruction, construction management, and closeout activities to meet project objectives.
• Prepare development reporting, project underwriting, and financial analyses for investment committees.
