Job summary

Direct Counsel represents an Am Law 100 firm seeking a Real Estate Lending Associate to join its nationally recognized Real Estate practice in New York, NY or Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on sophisticated real estate finance transactions and strong loan origination experience.

The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of experience, be onsite in NY or Charlotte, and hold NY or NC Bar admission (or be eligible to waive into NC). Competitive compensation and excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in real estate lending.
• Onsite in New York, NY or Charlotte, NC with bar admission required.
• Experience representing lenders in real estate finance transactions and asset-based lending.

Responsibilities

• Represent financial institutions in real estate and asset-based lending transactions.
• Manage loan origination and coordination of multiple matters.
• Provide client service and clear communication to borrowers and institutions.
• Support developers with acquisitions, dispositions, and financing as applicable.
