Job summary

Plymouth Housing is seeking a Senior Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for our real estate and related-party entities, including LIHTC projects and grants. You will report to the CFO, supervise the nonprofit Senior Controller of Nonprofit, and guide a team toward accurate consolidated statements.

You will drive budgeting, proformas, and internal controls, partnering with development, asset management, and operations to ensure compliance, transparency, and sustainability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• At least 5 years of nonprofit accounting experience with publicly funded grants.
• Experience accounting for multiple entities and funds, including intercompany activity, eliminations, and consolidated statements.

Responsibilities

• Direct operational accounting for real estate and related‑party entities, supervising close, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
• Oversee accounting for buildings under development and renovation, including LIHTC cost tracking.
• Lead external audits and funder reviews; supervise external auditors as needed.
• Prepare financial reports and projections for management, board, funders, and investors.
