Job summary

Blue Origin, headquartered in the United States, is seeking a senior legal professional to lead the real estate and construction practice within the Legal and Compliance Department. This role will own real estate transactions, due diligence, contract negotiations, and risk management across Blue Origin's U.S.

and international footprint. The ideal candidate has a J.D., bar admission, and 7+ years of relevant experience, with the ability to advise executives and build scalable processes.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• 7+ years of legal experience in real estate and/or construction.
• Ability to lead multi-site projects and advise executives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead counsel across real estate life cycle from site identification through execution and compliance.
• Draft, review and negotiate US and international real estate agreements and related docs.
• Lead construction legal support including drafting, claim management and risk mitigation.
• Perform real estate due diligence: title reviews, surveys, CC&Rs, zoning and permitting advice.
• Support incentives, abatements, and site-selection with authorities; coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
• Manage landlord and construction disputes; coordinate with litigation counsel.
• Identify and elevate regulatory and other risks; work with cross-functional experts.
• Provide practical, business-oriented counsel to executives and colleagues and build scalable processes.
