Job summary

Americana Real Estate, Inc. (Century 21 Americana) is seeking an experienced Real Estate Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting operations for multiple entities.

You will manage day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, budgeting, and ensure compliance across our Nevada and regional operations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, 5+ years in real estate accounting, and a track record of process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation preferred but not required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Real estate brokerage, property management, or real estate investment accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, AppFolio, or similar platforms.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee accounting for brokerage operations and affiliated companies.
• Maintain and reconcile operating accounts.
• Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Coordinate year-end audits and tax preparation with external CPAs.
• Monitor cash flow and recommend financial strategies to improve profitability.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial reporting requirements.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Assist executive leadership with financial analysis and special projects.
