Job summary

NorthBridge Commercial Real Estate in Denton, TX seeks a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for multiple entities, produce monthly close, financial statements, and reconciliations. This hands-on role requires GAAP expertise and the ability to coordinate with the Controller, CFO, and external CPAs.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of progressive accounting experience in commercial real estate, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Yardi or similar software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum of five years of progressive professional accounting experience.
• Experience with commercial real estate accounting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned real estate, operating, investment, and holding entities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, amortization, and other monthly adjustments.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures accurately and within established deadlines.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, general ledgers, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and review bank, credit card, debt, escrow, reserve, intercompany, and other balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions, cash transfers, allocations, and related-party balances.
• Record cash receipts, apply customer and tenant payments, monitor accounts receivable aging, and assist with collection issues.
