Job summary

SNI Financial partners with a privately held, DFW-based commercial real estate company to hire a Senior Accountant for its Denton headquarters.

You will own full-cycle accounting across multiple entities, including intercompany activity, leases, CAM, taxes, debt, and reporting. This role offers growth, direct exposure to leadership, and a broad operational scope.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Experience across multiple entities and intercompany accounts.
• Real estate accounting experience preferred (CRE, property management or real estate investment).
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting for multiple entities.
• Manage month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Handle intercompany transactions and related-party activity.
• Support property-level accounting (leases, CAM, property taxes, capex, debt).
• Assist with budgeting/variance analysis and cash flow.
• Support audits, tax prep, lender reporting, and CPA requests.

Senior Accountant – Real Estate & Multi-Entity Operations

Denton, TX | Primarily Onsite with Some Hybrid Flexibility

$90K–$100K Target Total Compensation + Full Benefits + 401(k) Match

I’m partnering with a privately held, DFW-based commercial real estate investment and operating company to identify a Senior Accountant for its Denton headquarters.

This is a great opportunity for an accountant who wants more breadth and ownership than a traditional corporate accounting role. You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate, investment, development, operating, and holding companies, with direct exposure to the Controller, CFO, and other business leaders.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own full-cycle accounting for multiple entities
• Manage month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Handle intercompany transactions, cash transfers, allocations, and related-party activity
• Support property-level accounting, including leases, CAM, property taxes, capex, and debt activity
• Work with operating-company accounting, including revenue, AP/AR, fixed assets, and expenses
• Prepare budget-to-actual variance analysis and assist with forecasting and cash flow
• Support audits, tax preparation, lender reporting, and external CPA requests
• Help improve accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong GL, month-end close, financial statement, and balance-sheet reconciliation experience
• Experience working across multiple entities and intercompany accounts
• Commercial real estate, property management, or real estate investment accounting experience strongly preferred
• Experience with both real estate and operating companies is a plus
• Yardi or similar real estate accounting software preferred
• QuickBooks/QuickBooks Online experience helpful
• CPA preferred, but not required
