Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team in Denver. You will ensure accuracy and compliance for owned and leased data center properties and corporate headquarters, handling journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close processes.

You will prepare financial statements, perform variance analyses, and present findings to stakeholders. Collaboration across departments and a proactive reporting mindset are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with hands-on involvement in an accrual-based monthly close process.
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and SOX 404 is preferred.
• CPA license is preferred.
• Experience in accounting for publicly traded or privately owned real estate investment trusts (REITs), other property-owning entities, or technology companies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset reports, accrual analyses, and financial close packages.
• Perform variance analyses of income statements and balance sheets against forecasts and historical data.
• Communicate financial performance through monthly presentations to stakeholders and quarterly meetings with general management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting activities.
• Support special projects, process improvements, and IT system enhancements.
