Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the daily ready-mix concrete production, dispatch, and delivery operations. You will supervise plant personnel, coordinate with sales and project managers, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time performance across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include optimizing batching, schedules, maintenance coordination, and cost control while maintaining compliance with OSHA/DOT regulations. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in ready-mix/construction materials or related field.
• Experience supervising and coordinating plant, dispatch, and field operations.
• Strong knowledge of batching, dispatch, delivery, and plant activities.
• Familiarity with quality-control principles and ASTM/AASHTO standards.
• Understanding of DOT, OSHA and environmental safety requirements.
• Proven leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and dispatch systems.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily ready-mix operations: batching, dispatch, delivery, and plant activities.
• Manage production schedules based on orders and project needs.
• Supervise dispatch personnel, operators, drivers, and operations staff.
• Ensure equipment is utilized and maintained properly.
• Monitor delivery schedules and resolve delays or issues.
• Coordinate with sales, PMs, customers for timely deliveries.
• Ensure conformance to mix designs, specs, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with QC on testing, slump, strength, and quality.
