Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a Manager Ready Mix Plant to oversee a ready mix operation, coordinating drivers, dispatch, and plant personnel at multiple job sites. The role focuses on plant operations, safety, and material management to ensure reliable production.

The candidate will supervise drivers, manage raw materials, and ensure environmental and safety compliance while maintaining cost controls and product quality. This position requires DOT certification and experience in batch plant operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to climb conveyor belts for maintenance.
• Must be D.O.T. certified to manufacture concrete and concrete products.
• Proficient in the use of a computer and Microsoft Office applications.
• Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
• High school degree or equivalent/some technical, vocational or education preferred.
• 3 years’ experience performing varied responsibilities related to plant production.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly workforce, including hiring, directing, training, counseling, and discipline as necessary.
• Conduct hourly employee performance reviews.
• Maintain plant housekeeping, environmental, and safety policy compliance.
• Control and minimize plant costs while providing a consistent quality product.
• Measure raw material inventories and maintain inventory levels for ongoing operation.
• Understand automated batch plant operation and optimize control parameters.
