Job summary

Prosper is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to own borrower-facing experiences from rate check through funding. You’ll ship React and React Native apps in a pnpm/Turborepo monorepo, design shared components, and integrate GraphQL and RESTful APIs to deliver fast, reliable financial experiences.

You'll collaborate with product, design, backend, and QA to push features end-to-end, mentor teammates, and champion high coding standards in a regulated fintech environment.

Qualifications

• BS in EE/CS with 8+ years of experience or MS in EE/CS with 6+ years of experience.
• Deep proficiency in React, React Native, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL (Apollo) and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with monorepos (pnpm, Turborepo), bundlers (Vite), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Disciplined approach to automated testing (Jest, Playwright, Detox).
• Active use of AI coding assistants (Cursor, Copilot).
• A sharp eye for UX/UI polish in financial flows.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a cross-functional team to deliver borrower experiences across web and mobile.
• Own projects end to end from design to launch and measurement.
• Build and evolve React and React Native apps in a pnpm/Turborepo monorepo.
• Design and maintain shared component libraries and cross-platform modules.
• Integrate with GraphQL and RESTful APIs in a performant, secure manner.
• Identify and drive improvements in performance, testing, accessibility, and developer experience.
• Uphold high standards of code quality and user experience in a regulated environment.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity and establish best practices.
• Mentor peers and contribute to an inclusive engineering culture.
