Job summary

Prosper is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer for the Personal Loans team to own borrower-facing experiences from rate checks to funding. You will build and maintain web and mobile interfaces using React and React Native in a pnpm/Turborepo setup, with an emphasis on performance, accessibility, and secure integrations with GraphQL and RESTful APIs.

You will collaborate across product and design, mentor teammates, and leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery in a regulated fintech environment.

Qualifications

• BS in EE/CS with 8+ years of experience or MS in EE/CS with 6+ years of experience.
• Deep proficiency in React, React Native, and TypeScript across web and mobile.
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL (Apollo) and RESTful APIs to power high-performance apps.
• Familiarity with monorepos (pnpm, Turborepo), bundlers (Vite), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Disciplined testing with Jest, Playwright, or Detox for robust releases.
• Experience with AI coding assistants and exploring AI developments to enhance productivity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver seamless borrower experiences across web and mobile.
• Own projects end to end—from design and architecture to launch and measurement.
• Build and evolve React and React Native apps inside a pnpm/Turborepo monorepo.
• Design and maintain shared component libraries and cross-platform modules.
• Integrate with GraphQL and RESTful APIs in a performant, secure manner.
• Drive performance, testing, accessibility, and developer-experience improvements.
• Mentor peers, participate in thoughtful code reviews, and promote best practices.
