Job summary

Informa’s Aviation group, Aviation Week Network, seeks a Senior Web Developer to build robust web apps using React and Node.js. This role can be based in Portland, OR or New York, NY and follows a hybrid model with in-person collaboration several days per week.

You’ll design scalable UI, integrate RESTful services, and mentor junior developers while contributing to fast-paced Agile projects. Strong JS, cloud, and DevOps experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science preferred (will consider experience in lieu of degree).
• 8+ years of software development experience focused on React and Node.js.
• Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale web applications.
• JS, HTML5, CSS3 and modern front-end frameworks knowledge.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and frontend-backend integration.
• Strong Git and Agile development experience.
• Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) knowledge.
• Microservices architecture experience.
• Python programming proficiency.
• PHP development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable web applications using JavaScript, React and Node.js.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define requirements.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices.
• Optimize performance for fast load times and smooth UX.
• Integrate and maintain API connections with third-party and internal services.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolutions.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies and apply them.
• Mentor junior developers and foster collaboration.
• Perform additional tasks as required.
