Job summary

Informa Aviation Week Network is seeking a Senior Web Developer to design and build robust web applications using React and Node.js. This role can be based in San Francisco or Los Angeles, with in-person collaboration three days a week and flexible remote options.

You will work with product managers and designers to define requirements, implement APIs, optimize performance, and mentor junior developers while adhering to industry best practices.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field; exceptions for highly qualified candidates preferred.
• 8+ years of software development experience with React and Node.js
• Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale web applications
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable web applications using JavaScript and modern frameworks, specifically React and Node.js
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices
• Optimize application performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth user experiences
• Implement and maintain API integrations with third-party services and internal systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to the end users
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring adherence to coding standards
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies and incorporate them into your work as appropriate
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment
• Perform additional tasks as required
