Orcrist is building a next generation data intelligence platform with a Kubernetes-based SaaS/off‑prem deployment. You will co‑own the mobile architecture for AirSpot, a React Native app enabling public drone sightings reporting and defense team data access, with real-time geospatial features.

You’ll lead end-to-end feature development, performance improvements, and production releases, while shaping engineering practices for a growing mobile team in a remote-Germany setup.

Qualificações

• Several years of professional software engineering experience.
• Two production React Native apps with real users.
• Strong React Native, TypeScript, and Expo experience, including the New Architecture (Fabric, TurboModules, Bridgeless).
• Experience with mobile performance, testing, observability, and production releases.
• Hands-on experience with MapLibre, Mapbox, Google Maps, or comparable mobile mapping technologies.
• Evidence of owning architecture or major technical decisions, not just implementing predefined features.
• Strong engineering judgment and ability to work independently in a small team.
• University-level technical education in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Eligible to work in Germany and for EU/NATO security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Build and ship production mobile features with React Native, Expo, TypeScript.
• Own architectural decisions across state management, data fetching, offline behavior, navigation, and CI/CD.
• Build geospatial experiences with MapLibre and map interactions.
• Improve performance and reliability across startup time, animations, lists, memory, and crashes.
• Establish reliable testing with Jest and RN Testing Library.
• Own production deliveries with EAS: builds, signing, releases, app store readiness.
• Contribute to backend APIs when useful and help establish engineering standards.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery without compromising quality.
