Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Ranking) to advance recommendation systems for a large-scale knowledge platform. This remote role in the United States will own ranking models powering personalized feeds and digests, from data pipelines to production deployment.

You will collaborate with a distributed engineering team, experiment with modern ML techniques, and develop methodologies that drive product innovations while maintaining high quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing ranking or recommendation models.
• Strong foundations in ML algorithms and mathematics.
• Experience deploying end-to-end ML systems in production.
• Degree in CS, Engineering or related technical field.
• Excellent communication in distributed teams.
• Available for meetings 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. PT.
• 5+ years writing production-quality Python or C++. (preferred).
• Experience with generative recommendation systems.
• Familiarity with user behavior/sequence modeling and transformers in ranking.
• Experience leading large-scale technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Improve ranking models using strong ML techniques and software engineering.
• Own ML systems end-to-end: data pipelines, feature engineering, training, deployment.
• Advance second-stage ranking for personalized feeds and digests.
• Identify ML opportunities across product experiences to boost engagement.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to design, implement, and optimize algorithms.
• Develop reusable methodologies and engineering practices for ranking systems.
• Experiment with new modeling approaches and measure results.
• Contribute to a culture of learning, innovation and knowledge sharing.
