You will review unit training needs, assist with budget justifications, and supervise staff through the process of scheduling and documentation.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience analyzing range utilization for scheduling simultaneous training events.
• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher graduate education in relevant fields.
• Combination of education and experience may be used to qualify as long as the computed percentage is at least 100%.

Responsibilities

• Advise high-level officials on physical capabilities, geographic limitations, and airspace coordination at training complexes.
• Assist in developing justification statements for annual budget requirements.
• Review training requirements to assist units in executing training plans.
• Conduct quality control inspections of firing desk actions and scheduling logs to recommend strategies ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Interpret federal regulations and DoD directives governing range scheduling and safety activities.
