Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Program / Construction Director to lead major transportation infrastructure programs, with a focus on rail and tunnel delivery in the San Francisco area. The role requires directing IPDT teams, managing design through construction, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and agency requirements.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of leadership experience, extensive program and construction management expertise, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS and extensive experience delivering major transportation infrastructure projects.
• At least 6 years of leadership experience.
• Experience with Alternative Delivery contracting.
• Experience in program, construction, design management, contract administration, and cost/schedule controls.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and large infrastructure programs.
• Experience with federally funded transportation projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead major transportation capital programs from design through commissioning.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams including agency staff, consultants, and contractors.
• Oversee program management, design and construction management, cost and schedule controls.
• Manage procurement, contracts, changes, claims avoidance, and disputes.
• Implement program controls and executive governance.
• Coordinate with agencies, utilities, funding partners.
• Ensure compliance with FTA, state and agency requirements.
