Hitachi Rail is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to oversee a major metro TCUP project in San Francisco. You will manage construction planning, execution, and integration with engineering teams while ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role requires extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure, strong leadership and communication skills, and familiarity with rail signaling and power systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with signalling, telecom and power supply systems is desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools.
• Certifications such as PMP or CCM are a plus.
• Knowledge to ensure high-quality installation documents meeting customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly customer meetings and communicate project status.
• Lead construction planning, coordination and execution across all project phases.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Manage resources (labor, materials, equipment) to optimize productivity and costs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, codes and safety standards.
• Oversee deployment, commissioning and handover activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, contractors and stakeholders on plans and strategies.
