Job summary

Arcadis U.S. Inc. in Los Angeles seeks a results-driven Project Director - Rail Transit to lead complex rail/transit projects from concept to commissioning.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, partner with clients, and drive schedules and budgets to deliver high-impact mobility improvements for Southern California. The ideal candidate brings 15+ years in track construction, a CA PE license (or equivalent), and a proven record of leading multimillion-dollar rail initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in track construction.
• Current California PE license or equivalent (Peng).

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of complex, multimillion-dollar rail and transit projects—from early concept through design, installation, and commissioning.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring expectations are exceeded and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Develop comprehensive work plans, resource forecasts, and detailed schedules to deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Guarantee all projects adhere to the highest standards, applicable codes, and best-in-class safety and engineering practices.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and technical teams to define scopes, allocate resources, and ensure seamless project delivery.
• Guide, coach, and develop junior engineers and assistant project managers, building a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
