Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Manager of Capital Construction for the Hudson Tunnel Project, leading design and construction across ten packages from Secaucus to NYC. You will provide project leadership, interface with diverse stakeholders, and ensure best practices in delivery to improve safety and state of good repair.

The role requires coordinating in-house construction efforts, managing budgets, and supervising contractors while maintaining alignment with Amtrak’s business plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent with relevant experience.
• 7 years of prior relevant experience required.
• Valid driver’s license. Willing to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage major capital construction projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders and ensure safety program compliance.
• Monitor progress of third-party contractors and enforce design requirements.
