Job summary

Arup is seeking an experienced Rail Track Leader to provide senior technical, project delivery, and client-facing leadership for major rail projects in the Americas. The role includes acting as Engineer of Record for track design, overseeing design-build delivery, and mentoring staff to grow Arup's track capability across the region.

This senior position requires 20+ years in rail track engineering, leadership of complex track design, and a strong grasp of rail standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
Licensed Professional Engineer with ability to serve as Engineer of Record.
20+ years rail track engineering experience including detailed design.
Leadership of track design packages for major rail projects.
Knowledge of rail standards, codes, and agency requirements.
Experience with design-build delivery and multi-discipline integration.

Responsibilities

Serve as senior technical lead and Engineer of Record for track design packages.
Lead detailed design delivery from concept to construction support.
Coordinate track with civil, structures, drainage, and utilities.
Review drawings, calculations, and design reports for quality and compliance.
Mentor junior and mid-level track engineers and grow the team.
Support business development, pursuits, and client engagement.
