Job summary

The California High-Speed Rail Authority is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer (Third Party Agreements Lead) to lead and coordinate agreements with third party agencies for the high-speed rail project. The role emphasizes planning, monitoring, expediting, and tracking complex utility relocation and related agreements across multiple stakeholders.

The position requires strong communication, initiative, judgment, and relationship management with government agencies and private entities.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, flexibility, judgment, and confidentiality.
• Ability to operate independently, but know when to ask for guidance from a supervisor or colleague.
• Experience in dealing with government agencies and private entities reflecting well on the Authority.
• Experience managing consultant relationships and coordinating third party utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, monitoring, expediting, and tracking activities and agreements with Third Party agencies.
• Oversee development of agreements for utility relocation in coordination with utilities owners.
• Resolve issues with utility owners and railroad entities related to Third Party agreements.
• Negotiate and manage Third Party utility coordination and/or operations.
