Job summary

Egis Group in the United States seeks a Project Manager, Signaling to lead the delivery of signaling systems from design through handover. You will manage safety-critical rail systems and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in railway signaling, experience with ETCS/CBTC/PTC, and a proven track record delivering complex projects on time and on budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in railway signaling, train control, or rail systems project delivery.
• Experience delivering ETCS, CBTC, PTC, ATP, or similar signaling systems.
• Strong understanding of railway systems engineering and safety-critical infrastructure.
• Experience integrating signaling with telecommunications, rolling stock, and control systems.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage external suppliers.
• Successful delivery of complex transportation projects with budget and schedule accountability.

• Lead the delivery of signaling and train control systems throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate interfaces between signaling, telecommunications, rolling stock, operations, track, power, and civil engineering disciplines.
• Oversee integration of train control systems with interlocking, traffic management, communications, train detection, and OCS.
• Manage consultants, contractors, suppliers, and technical stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Lead testing, commissioning, operational readiness, and system handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, safety assurance processes, and project specifications.

About the Role

We are looking for a Project Manager, Signaling in our Sacramento, CA office.

This role will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of signaling systems from design and integration through testing, commissioning, and operational handover.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in railway signaling, systems integration, and project delivery, with experience managing safety-critical rail systems and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Compensation & Pay Transparency

At Egis, we believe transparency helps candidates make informed career decisions. As part of our commitment to an open and equitable hiring process, we've included the anticipated base salary range for this position below.

Anticipated Base Salary Range: $160,000 – $240,000 annually.
