Job summary

Metra is seeking a Training and Regulatory Compliance Supervisor to lead the delivery of training programs, audits, and safety rule examinations. You will oversee scheduling, staff management, and adherence to GCOR/MOW rules, with strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance across multiple departments.

The role requires experience in railroad operations, ability to travel, and a commitment to ensuring timely, accurate testing and documentation in a complex, multi-county environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in operations or program administration.
• Six years of experience in compliance, program administration, or operations, preferably as a trainer or instructor.
• Three years of supervisory experience with staffing and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of railroad safety rules and FRA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and audit staff delivering training programs and rules examinations.
• Manage budget for training resources and ensure goals are met.
• Coordinate training schedules and retest procedures; ensure accurate record-keeping of certifications.
