STV Incorporated seeks an experienced rail vehicle electrical engineer with propulsion expertise to join the Rail Vehicle Engineering group in Philadelphia. The role centers on preparing propulsion specifications and reports, evaluating carbuilder designs, and reviewing test results.

Travel may be required up to 25% (including international assignments). The position reports to the Chief of Propulsion Engineering and offers the opportunity to influence critical transit projects across North

Qualifications

• 10+ years of propulsion experience in the transit/rail industry, including propulsion system design or major subcomponents.
• Strong ability to prepare clear engineering documents in English.
• Proficient in evaluating propulsion equipment and tests.

Responsabilités

• Prepare propulsion design criteria and engineering specifications.
• Review test specifications and reports.
• Witness testing and First Article Inspections.
• Evaluate carbuilder and propulsion supplier design packages.
• Assist with technical/cost proposals and change orders.
• Travel up to ~25% for tests, site visits, and reviews.
