Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Project Manager for the Rail Infrastructure team in the NJ/NY metro area. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, supervise project managers, and coordinate across disciplines to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery on public agency projects.

The role requires deep knowledge of NJ Transit processes, strong writing skills, and the ability to build client relationships while driving strategic growth in the transportation sector.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in infrastructure/transit managing rail or transit projects
• 10+ years managing multi-disciplinary project teams and engineering proposals
• Experience with NJ Transit or equivalent public agencies
• Knowledge of NJ Transit project delivery processes
• Experience with public involvement and transportation planning
• Strong technical writing and client relationship development

Responsabilités

• Lead pursuit and execution of CD, PE, FD & Construction Management phases for Rail Infrastructure projects.
• Develop and evaluate plans, weigh alternatives, and select cost-effective solutions.
• Build and maintain client relationships (NJ Transit & Amtrak) and lead business development.
• Mentor Northeast Transportation staff and support career advancement.
