Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in construction/business management or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a construction supervisory role.
• 5+ years of experience railroad construction or heavy civil construction.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety and quality control policies among employees and subcontractors to ensure the project runs smoothly and on schedule.
• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, supervisors and others to determine project needs.
• Maintain a daily diary of all activities and site conditions and manage the punch list and closeout process for the job.
• Provide front‑line supervision of crew members and onsite feedback on their performance.
• Train other crew members upon hire and welcome the team.
• Monitor and report on project progress.
• Order appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance.
• Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities.
• Keep track of material stock and orders.
• Ensure the job site is safe, clean, and orderly.
• Resolve on‑site issues and emergencies.
• Comply with company and federal rules, policies, and procedures – wear safety equipment and respond to safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
