Job summary

RailWorks Corporation seeks a Superintendent to oversee railway track construction and maintenance projects. You will coordinate workers, materials, and equipment, supervise sub-contractors, and ensure work adheres to specifications, safety programs, and budgets.

This role balances on-site leadership with office coordination to keep projects on schedule. The ideal candidate has extensive construction experience, strong management and communication skills, and the ability to read drawings and

Qualifications

• High School graduation plus post-secondary training in a related field or equivalent education, training and experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction industry practices, methods and processes.
• Valid and clean Driver’s License and ability to pass background checks including pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Ensures adequate resources by scheduling labour, equipment and materials.
• Reviews drawings, designs and contract documentation to understand requirements.
• Supervises field construction and maintenance to meet design, budget and schedule.
• Monitors quality and sub-contractor performance.
• Assigns work to crews and monitors productivity and budgets.
• Assists with invoicing and manages relationships with stakeholders.
